Swords These swords are from my current collection. Tanto OKIHISA This gorgeous mounted tanto is not what one usually see on the web. This one is not just a koshirae it also has a nice signed blade in very good condition with "bonji horimono".The blade is signed "Okihisa". The itame is tight with lots of jinie the hamon in "konie and deep nioi" is gunome midare with very long "legs" reaching the edje beautiful sunagashi is crossing producing an amazing effect. The boshi has a small gunome kaeri running down the mune to almost 2/3 of the length. All the silver fittings decorated with very fine gold and silver butterflies and flowers inlay are made by the same artist,signed "Horaî Shoji".The fuchi signed and dated "Horaî Shoji kanoe uma kisaragi ni kore o tsukuru" (Made by Horaî Shoji year of the horse 1870). The kojiri is also signed. The tsuka bound with whale bone. Black lacquer saya with gold bamboo leaves in togidashi lacquer technic. This quality tanto is rare to be found in this superb condition.
